A Florida native, Katie received her bachelors degree from Florida State University majoring in theatre with a focus in costume design in 2011. She continued her education at Parsons the New School of Design with a Master of Arts in 2014. Based out of New York City, she works as a freelance costume designer, associate costume designer, and historian.

Katie has worked on Broadway and Off-Broadway with Tony Lifetime Achievement award winner Jane Greenwood and Tony Award winning designers Paloma Young and Linda Cho. Katie feels like there is no place like the theatre. In addition, she has worked on the costume design team for several of the Marvel Netflix shows including Iron Fist, Daredevil and The Defenders, and several other major network TV shows for CBS and ABC. Katie worked as the 1st Assistant Costume Designer/Associate for the ABC pilot Thirty Something (Else). Most recently, she was Assistant Costume Designer on Broadway’s Plaza Suite, Associate Costume Designer on the Broadway play POTUS or Behind Every Great Dumbass are Seven Women Trying to Keep Him Alive, the Broadway production of A Christmas Carol Live, Summer, 1976 on Broadway and HOME on Broadway.

As a fashion historian, Katie has a very strong background in costume history (writing her thesis on 18th Century English fashion/textiles) and decorative arts research. During graduate school, she spent a semester at University of Glasgow in Scotland. She spent most of her spare time in graduate school working in various collections taking care of historic garments and installing fashion exhibitions such as Fashioning The Body at Bard Graduate Center and Matthew Weiner's Mad Men at the Museum of Moving Image in New York City. After graduation, she continued to work on installations with designers such as Isaac Mizrahi at The Jewish Museum and Anna Sui at the Museum of Art & Design.

Katie also enjoys working with students guest lecturing on costume design/history and coaching acting students on styling themselves for auditions and showcases.

In her spare time she volunteers with Broadway Cares Equity Fights AIDS and New York Special Olympics.

It is Katie's love for collaboration and her well rounded background in all aspects of the costume world, that makes her unique!
